Discovery Place Kids to host career exploration fair Saturday

Discovery Place Kids invites Richmond County children to explore their interests and spark their imaginations at the “I Can Be Anything” kids’ job fair set from 1-4 p.m. Saturday. Give Your Child a Head Start, and... Pave the Way for a Bright, Successful Future...


Kids can meet community members like a pharmacist, police officers, firefighters, teachers, mechanics, architects and more as they discover opportunities for their future. Community partners include:
• Rockingham Police Department
• Rockingham Fire Department
• Family Pharmacy
• Stogner Architecture
• Pee Dee Electric
• Maness Tire
• Richmond County Schools
• Vulcan
• Duke Energy
• Richmond County Sheriff’s Department
• Covington Eye Clinic
• Purcell Clinic

Museum staffers invite children to continue the fun in Discovery Place Kids’ “I Can Be Anything” exhibits, where young participants can role play the careers and discover the industries that built the Sandhills.
Discovery Place Kids-Rockingham admission is $8 per person and free for Discovery Place members and children younger than 1. Guests may purchase tickets online at discoveryplacekids.org, by phone at 910-997-5266, extension 300 or in person at the museum.
